Mo Munshi

MR MO MUNSHI

Mr Munshi is a geologist with an extensive mining engineering background of over 20 years experience, in exploration, development, production and both technical and corporate management, in the gold mining industry.

Mr Munshi has worked in the Australasian and African regions, primarily in Australia, China, Mongolia, The Philippines, Indonesia, Ghana, Tanzania and South Africa, and more recently he has had exposure to South America, in Ecuador, Peru, Brazil and Argentina, and Eastern Europe in Kosovo and Turkey.

Over the last 14 years he has had extensive experience and gained detailed knowledge of the geology and mineral resources in these countries, and the opportunities and projects in these countries, through his role as a Business Development Executive for several companies.

He has a broad exposure to large multi-national corporations and junior mining and entrepreneurial companies, having worked previously for ACM Limited, Posgold/Normandy Mining, Great Central Mines NL, Ashanti Goldfields Limited, JCI Limited and Ivanhoe Mines Limited, and was involved in project evaluation, financing, legal and administrative functions in these companies.

Specific experience includes:

  • Business Development Manager at Ashanti, responsible for project evaluation, acquisition, development and project financing. In particular, he was responsible for all geological aspects for both the Bibiani Project in Ghana, and the Siguiri Project in Guinea, and was part of a team which took both of these projects to bankable feasibility stage. He was also involved in the pre-feasibility study for Ashanti's Geita Project in Tanzania.
      
  • Looking at several corporate possibilities of mergers and acquisitions for both Australian and Canadian companies. In addition he has had extensive experience with both Chinese and Japanese mining companies and trading houses.
      
  • Raising several hundred million dollars of capital for the various companies that he has worked for, from global institutional money, to develop and ultimately bring into production the projects which he has been involved with, eg. Bronzewing, Bibiani, Siguiri, and more recently Oyu Tolgoi.
      
  • Extensive work in coal projects in Asia as well, particularly in China and Mongolia, and the development of the related infrastructure.
John Arbuckle

MR JOHN ARBUCKLE

Mr Arbuckle is an accountant with extensive experience in the mining industry in Australia and overseas.  Currently, he a Director of DNA Capital Pty Ltd which provides specialist corporate advisory services to both listed and unlisted companies.  His recent positions have included Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of Mount Gibson Iron Limited and Chief Financial Officer of Perilya Limited, where he guided the companies through difficult project start up phases.  Prior to this he held senior financial management roles with Rio Tinto Limited, North Limited and Anaconda Nickel Limited.  He has considerable experience in developing financial and risk management strategies for mining companies and the implementation of accounting controls and systems.

Mr Arbuckle is also a Non Executive Director and Company Secretary of both Alchemy Resources Limited (ASX - ALY) and Company Secretary of Rialto Energy Limited (ASX - RIA).

 Sebastian Hemple

SEBASTIAN HEMPEL

NON EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

 

Mr Hempel is a well regarded and accomplished corporate lawyer based in Sydney, Australia. He has over 18 years of corporate advisory experience in the listed company area with specialties in capital raisings and ASX listings and in the resources sector. He was with major commercial law firm Minter Ellison from late 1996 to early 2008 (partner since July 2000) after a stint in investment banking at Macquarie Bank and working at the Australian Stock Exchange from early 1991 to mid 1995.

He is a member of the Council of The Armidale School, is Deputy Chairman of think tank/lobby group the Employee Ownership Group, and is an Executive Director of boutique Sydney law practice Greenwich Legal. He has chaired numerous IPO due diligence committees.

Sebastian also has strong corporate governance expertise through company secretarial work, being a trusted corporate adviser to several companies and boards, and is about to complete a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance.

He has conducted numerous capital raisings for a variety of resources companies and has led various resource project sales and acquisitions, as well as acting for Australian and foreign investors in listed and unlisted resource companies.
